Smashed storefront glass, a pried back door or a lock that was forced? We secure your business the same night with board-up and temporary locking, then come back with the permanent door, frame, glass and lock repair.
A break-in leaves a business exposed: broken glass, a door that will not lock, or a frame torn apart. Until it is secured, you cannot leave the property, and your insurer will expect reasonable steps to prevent further loss. Our first priority on any break-in call is to make the opening safe and secure, quickly.
Once the building is secure, we assess what was damaged and plan the permanent repair: new glass, a straightened or replaced door, a rebuilt frame, and locks that are stronger than the ones that failed.

We clear broken glass from the opening and the floor so staff and customers are not hurt.
Broken glass panels are covered with plywood cut to size and fastened securely. Doors that will not lock are secured with temporary hardware so the building can be closed.
We note what was damaged and what will need replacing, which helps with your insurance claim. Take your own photos too, before and after.
We measure glass, check the door and frame, and order what is needed. Common parts are often on hand for the next visit.
We replace glass, repair or replace the door and frame, and install locks and reinforcements that make a repeat break-in harder.
The most common entry point. We board up, then replace with tempered or laminated glass. See glass repair and replacement.
Pry bars bend the lock stile and frame and break the hook bolt. Minor bends can be corrected; severe damage needs new parts. See storefront door repair.
Frames split around the strike, hinges tear out and locks are destroyed. See steel door repair.
Cylinders are forced out of the lock. We replace them and can upgrade to cylinders with better attack resistance and protective guards.
Rear bay doors bent or forced open. See overhead and roll-up door repair.
Strikes and maglocks torn from frames. See electric strike and mag lock repair.

When we repair after a break-in, we look at why that door was chosen and how it failed. Practical upgrades include:
For hinge upgrades see continuous hinge and pivot repair. Any changes to exit doors still have to allow people to leave quickly, so we keep egress requirements in mind.
Most commercial insurance policies cover break-in damage, subject to your deductible and terms. To make the claim easier:
We can provide clear invoices and descriptions of the work. Questions about coverage should go to your broker or insurer.
Break-ins are usually opportunistic. Thieves look for the easiest way in, and certain door weaknesses make a business a more tempting target.
Out-swinging steel doors with a visible gap at the latch can be pried open with a bar. A latch guard plate closes the gap.
Steel frames that are not anchored or grouted properly flex under force, letting the bolt slip out of the strike.
If the glass beside a thumbturn is broken, a hand can reach in and unlock the door. Laminated glass or a double-cylinder setup (where allowed) helps.
Doors propped for deliveries or smoke breaks are often left unlocked. Proper closers and exit hardware make it easier to keep them shut.
A door that only locks if pushed may not be fully locked at all. Regular checks catch this.
The standard emergency solution. Exterior-grade plywood is cut to size and fastened over the opening. It secures the building and keeps out weather until the glass or door is replaced.
When a lock or strike is destroyed but the door is intact, we can fit temporary locking hardware so the door can be secured overnight and repaired properly the next day.
When the door or frame is beyond repair, we secure the opening and arrange a replacement. See commercial door replacement.
